I earned my undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Before establishing my private practice in Chanhassen fifteen years ago, I worked in a variety of treatment settings with a diverse range of clients.  I worked at a residential treatment center for children and a crisis intervention program for adolescents. I was also a therapist for fifteen years at a community out-patient clinic where I worked with adolescents and adults providing individual, couples, family, and group therapy.

These experiences provided me with continuous learning and challenges. All the children, teenagers and adults I worked with, as well as the many supervisors, mentors and colleagues helped me define myself as a therapist. All these years later I am still learning and feel grateful for the amazing and unique journeys I accompany my clients on. To share their pain and losses as well as their joy and triumphs is truly a privilege.

Family life can be challenging and stressful for teens and parents. I like helping families navigate these rocky times by learning new ways to  listen, understand, and respect each other.
